I am doing a piece on the BBC Politics Show tomorrow at about 12.30pm with the Conservative would be MP for Pendle, Andrew Stephenson. We shall be at the excellent Anchor Inn at Salterforth.

Pendle, as everyone knows, is awash with Belizean cash.

Just visited Andrew Stephenson's website and searched in vain for references to Ashcroft.

I have drawn a blank. Nothing.

A tad ungrateful, I'd say.

The silent and invisible Afzal Anwar, representing the Lib Dems, will have a walk on part tomorrow. But maybe not. He could steal the show.

Perhaps he will surprise us. And say something vaguely interesting and controversial.
